The Thai Hot is VERY hot. I imagine the hot is also on the spicier side, so be careful when ordering. I will say the prices are a little high but I imagine being a fully vegan restaurant in Florida is not an easy gig so I have absolutely no qualms supporting them when the food is as good as it is.

Not a vegan restaurant. They happily offered chicken to my husband. Way overpriced for the meal we ordered. $80 for a family of 3 that includes a 10-year old. We knew the prices when we ordered our meal, yes, but we also imagined the food quality might meet the price standards. Peanut sauce was watery and loaded with syrup. Vegetables were stale. Noodles cooked the prior week, perhaps. Disappointed because we thought the higher price was because it was a specialty restaurant but it turns out it was a smoke screen.

I really wanted to like this place as I love supporting fully vegan restaurants. Pros: - Great packaging on the food, I got it delivered and had no issues at all. - My noodles had a lot of vegetables and mock meat, I didn’t feel like they were skimping by any means. Cons: - Incredibly expensive. I know Grubhub adds a charge but even with Grubhub+, it came out to $40+ for one thing of noodles (to which I added mock chicken to try it, and that was an extra $8 for some reason) and 3 spring rolls. While I very much respect what they are trying to do with making vegan Thai food more accessible, it was just way too high and unjustified of a price. - The other major issue I had was that I couldn’t really even eat my food. There are three options for spice - mild, hot and Thai hot. I ordered “hot”, which I usually have no issues with and also keep in mind that I’m Indian and used to eating some spice. It was so incredibly spicy that my nose was leaking and my eyes were tearing up and now my stomach is hurting from the spice level. Had a great meal here. Food was delicious and I was so happy to get some Thai food with vegan “meat” instead of tofu for once. Owners were very pleasant. Would come back again.

Just went to a VEGAN restaurant for the first time at #thaikitchen #orlando #florida. Their “chicken”(NOT actual chicken) Pad Thai was so freaking good. When I ate their “chicken” it tasted like the real thing, and texture wise it felt the same. I really felt like I was eating meat. I didn’t feel deprived or like something was missing. Their peanut sauce for their spring roll was so good, they paired really well. The restaurant itself is very humble and it’s not in a flashy location. The price was expensive for me. 23 dollars for a plate. The trade off is that it’s a vegan recipe that taste like the real thing, in fact, just as good as the real thing. Also the portions were HUGE. So yes I did spend 23 dollars for a plate but I can eat the leftovers probably 2 more times so my logic is I’m getting 3 meals for the price of 23 which is not that bad, and their delicious and healthy. It’s not easy to be a successful restaurant, especially if it’s a vegan one, so I can understand the restaurant being small and simple and the food expensive. Overall, I give the restaurant a 5/5 and will go again.
